Role Description The Dispatch Head of Department is a full time, on-site role based in Mundra, responsible for overseeing all dispatch operations and ensuring timely, accurate delivery of products to domestic and international customers. The role includes planning and scheduling dispatches, coordinating with production, warehouse, logistics, and sales teams, and maintaining dispatch documentation and records in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.

The Dispatch

Head of Department will monitor inventory levels for dispatch-ready materials, optimize transport utilization, and manage relationships with transporters, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners.



The role also involves implementing and improving dispatch processes, tracking key performance metrics, addressing operational issues, and leading, mentoring, and training the dispatch team to maintain high safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong dispatch and logistics management skills, including planning, scheduling, route optimization, and coordination with transport and warehouse operations.
- Candidates should possess inventory and supply chain skills, including stock monitoring, material allocation, and alignment of dispatch with production and customer requirements.
- Candidates should possess process and documentation skills, including preparation of dispatch documents, record-keeping, familiarity with invoicing and transport documentation, and adherence to compliance standards.
- Candidates should possess leadership and people management skills, including team supervision, workload allocation, performance monitoring, training, and conflict resolution.
- Candidates should possess communication and stakeholder management skills, including effective coordination with internal departments, vendors, transporters, and customers.
- Relevant experience in dispatch, logistics, or supply chain management in manufacturing, metals, recycling, or related industries is highly beneficial.
- A diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain management, operations, or a related field is preferred, along with proficiency in ERP systems and basic computer applications.
