Role Overview

We are seeking a visionary and highly experienced Director of Engineering. This is a pivotal leadership role where you will be the technical cornerstone of our organization, driving technology strategy, leading multiple engineering teams, and architecting scalable AI-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- The Director of Engineering will define and execute the technology vision, lead and scale multiple engineering teams, driving architectural decisions for enterprise AI platforms.
- We seek a highly technical leader, expected to dedicate >60% of their time hands-on with code. This person is expected to lead by example by architecting and implementing the solution to the most complex and critical challenges in our projects.

- The role requires mastery of the Python ecosystem, leadership in automation initiatives (CI/CD, infrastructure, testing), and oversight of database architecture.
- Key responsibilities include overseeing Gen AI integration, leading technical evaluation of emerging AI technologies, and driving innovation in AI-powered solutions.
- You will collaborate with founders and executives on product strategy, establish scalable technical processes.
- Recruit top-tier engineering talent and establish scalable hiring processes and technical interview frameworks
- Lead technical due diligence for partnerships, integrations, and potential acquisitions.

Requirements

- 10 -15 plus years of progressive leadership, including 7+ years in senior technical roles.
- 5+ years hands on experience with product related experience

- Must have a proven track record of scaling engineering teams, experience with production-grade enterprise systems.
- Expertise in Python, scalable web frameworks, microservices, and performance optimization is essential.




- Experience with Advanced cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP, professional certifications) and SDLC mastery (agile, DevOps, automated testing, CI/CD).

- Strong database/data engineering background, including large-scale data.
- Hands-on experience with generative AI, LLMs, model deployment, fine-tuning, and production AI systems.
- Computer Science degree or equivalent technical education.
