Position Purpose

Give every architect and client who reaches Studio Orion a presentation and proposal that looks and reads as premium as the product does. Working directly off what sales representatives hand over — site photos, product selections, project context — build client-specific proposal decks and pull together the accompanying priced quotation, so every document leaving the flagship reflects the brand's positioning, not just its price list.

Key Responsibilities

- Design bespoke client- and project-specific proposal decks — incorporating site photos, selected products, mood boards, and layout choices — for projects that warrant a tailored pitch rather than a stock deck.
- For simpler or time-sensitive requests, assemble and sequence the right slides from Studio Orion's existing brand materials (brand overview deck, The Final Detail catalog), matched to what the sales rep says the meeting needs.
- Prepare the priced quotation/BOQ that accompanies each proposal — fabric yardage, hardware costs, upholstery and wall-finish quantities, labour, and GST — based on the measurements and selections handed off by the sales representative.
- Maintain visual and brand consistency across every deck and quotation — typography, imagery treatment, layout — so client-facing material never looks improvised.
- Clarify ambiguous specifications, photos, or selections directly with the sales representative before finalizing any document — flag rather than guess or improvise.
- Turn around decks and quotations same-day or next-day for time-sensitive meetings, and pre-build presentation material ahead of scheduled architect or client visits when reps flag them in advance.
- Keep an organized library of past decks, quotations,



and reusable visual assets (product photography, mood-board elements) for faster turnaround on future proposals.
- Keep pricing sheets, rate cards, and product/material information current as new collections, vendor rates, or price changes are communicated.

Key Competencies

- Visual design ability — a real eye for layout, typography, and image selection; comfortable producing a polished, on-brand deck from a loose brief, not just filling in a template. Portfolio required.
- Design software fluency — Canva, Keynote/PowerPoint at minimum; Adobe InDesign/Illustrator a solid plus for anyone building decks from scratch.
- Numerical accuracy — comfortable with the calculations a quotation requires: fabric yardage, area, cost, margin, GST.
- Judgment on effort — able to tell quickly whether a request needs a full custom deck or a fast repackage of existing slides, and default to the faster path when the project doesn't warrant more.
- Working product knowledge — basic familiarity with furnishing/interior terminology (curtains, upholstery, wall finishes, fabric composition) sufficient to select and present the right material; product training provided.
- Internal communication — not a client-facing role, but must clearly and promptly clarify requirements with sales representatives rather than guess.
