Role Description The Design Engineer (Fire Fighting) will be responsible for designing and engineering fire protection and detection systems for diverse industrial and commercial projects. Day-to-day tasks include preparing layout drawings and detailed designs, performing hydraulic calculations, selecting equipment and materials, and coordinating with project, site, and procurement teams to ensure compliance with codes and client specifications. The role involves reviewing technical documents, supporting tenders and cost estimates, and providing design inputs during installation, testing,



and commissioning.

The Design

Engineer will also collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients to resolve design issues and ensure safe, efficient, and reliable fire protection solutions. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Design Engineering skills, with experience in fire protection or building services design.
- Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering knowledge relevant to piping, pumps, and fluid systems used in fire fighting applications.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for preparing layouts, schematics, and detailed drawings.
- Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering understanding for integration of fire detection, control panels, and alarm systems.
- Candidates should possess Product Design capabilities for configuring system components and solutions that meet safety standards.
- Sound knowledge of relevant national and international fire codes and standards (e.g., NBC, NFPA, IS standards) is beneficial.
- A degree or diploma in Mechanical, Fire, or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Robust analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site and meet project timelines.
- Prior experience in fire fighting system design, installation support, or construction projects in high‑hazard industries will be an advantage.
