DESIGN DRAFTSMAN / DRAFTSWOMAN

ALLOY is looking for a skilled Design Draftsman / Draftswoman to join our design team. The role is focused on translating design concepts into accurate, detailed, and execution-ready drawings while working closely with designers, site teams, vendors, and consultants.

The Role The Design Draftsman / Draftswoman will be responsible for preparing and developing technical and working drawings for interior design projects. The role will involve close coordination with the design and execution teams and will provide exposure to projects from design development through site execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed working drawings, layouts, plans, elevations, sections, ceiling plans, flooring plans, electrical layouts, and furniture details.
- Develop detailed drawings based on design concepts and instructions from Senior Designers and Project Leads.
- Prepare drawings for custom furniture, joinery, kitchens, wardrobes, partitions, ceilings, and other interior elements.
- Ensure drawings are accurate, coordinated, and suitable for site execution.
- Incorporate revisions and maintain updated drawing sets throughout the project.
- Coordinate drawings with site conditions, structural requirements, MEP services, and other consultant drawings.
- Visit project sites when required to take measurements, verify dimensions, and understand execution requirements.
- Coordinate with site supervisors, contractors, vendors, and consultants to clarify drawing-related requirements.
- Identify discrepancies between drawings and site conditions and communicate them to the relevant design team members.
- Prepare drawings and documentation required for vendor quotations and fabrication.
- Maintain organised project files, drawing registers, revisions, and documentation.




- Ensure all drawings are delivered accurately and within project timelines.
- Work closely with designers to ensure that the design intent is maintained throughout the technical development and execution stages.

What We're Looking For
- 1+ years of experience as a Design Draftsman/Draftswoman, Interior Design Draftsman, Architectural Draftsman, or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
- Working knowledge of SketchUp and other relevant design software is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of architectural and interior design drawings.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, sections, elevations, details, and technical drawings.
- Positive understanding of dimensions, materials, construction details, joinery, and site execution.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently while taking direction from Senior Designers and Project Leads.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple drawing sets and meet tight project deadlines.
- Willingness to visit sites and coordinate directly with execution teams.

You will work closely with the design and execution teams and gain an understanding of how a concept is translated into detailed drawings and ultimately built on site.
