Roles & Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for engineering, CAPEX, and regular consumable materials.

- Review Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and verify technical specifications, quantities, lead times, and material variants before processing.

- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) within defined timelines.

- Obtain quotations from vendors, prepare comparative statements, and negotiate the best commercial terms.

- Coordinate with internal departments to understand technical requirements and ensure timely procurement.

- Develop and maintain a reliable vendor base through vendor identification, evaluation, onboarding, and performance monitoring.

- Source current vendors and alternate materials to achieve cost optimization without compromising quality.

- Ensure timely follow-up with vendors, transporters, and courier partners for on-time delivery of materials.

- Coordinate with stores and user departments for material inspection, acceptance, GRN processing, and rejection handling where required.

- Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, quality standards, and compliance with company requirements.

- Conduct supplier audits and assess vendor capabilities, certifications, and quality systems.

- Maintain procurement records, ISO documentation, and purchase-related reports.





- Support implementation of 5S and continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

- Coordinate urgent material collection and logistics whenever required.

- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and company standards.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Industrial, or related Engineering.

- 810 years of experience in Purchase, Engineering Procurement, or CAPEX Procurement in a manufacturing environment.

- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and purchase documentation.

- Experience in handling engineering materials, industrial consumables, and CAPEX purchases.

- Ability to understand technical specifications and engineering drawings.

- Strong negotiation, sourcing, and cost optimization skills.

- Experience in vendor development, supplier evaluation, and performance monitoring.

- Familiarity with ERP/SAP systems and proficiency in MS Excel.

- Good communication, coordination, and analytical skills.

- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet procurement timelines.

- Experience in ISO documentation and manufacturing processes will be an added advantage.
