: DCS Operator - Agrochemical Formulation Plant

Key Responsibilities

1. Process Monitoring & Control

- Monitor process parameters through DCS/SCADA systems.
- Control formulation, blending, mixing, milling, heating, cooling, transfer, and utility operations from the control room.
- Ensure process parameters remain within approved operating limits.
- Initiate corrective actions in coordination with field operators during process deviations.
- Monitor alarms and take appropriate action as per SOP.

2. Production Operations

- Execute batch operations as per Batch Manufacturing Record (BMR).
- Start-up, shut down, and product changeover activities through DCS.
- Verify raw material charging status with field operators.
- Monitor batch progress and optimize cycle times.
- Ensure achievement of production targets as per plan.

3. Safety, Health & Setting (SHE)

- Ensure compliance with all EHS standards and SOPs.
- Monitor critical safety interlocks, alarms, and trips.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and process upsets.
- Participate in emergency response drills.
- Report incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.

4. Quality Compliance

- Maintain critical process parameters within specified limits.
- Ensure batch execution follows approved formulations and procedures.
- Coordinate with QC for sampling and analysis requirements.




- Identify and report process deviations that may impact product quality.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards.

5. Coordination with Field Operations

- Provide operating instructions to field operators.
- Coordinate equipment start-up, shutdown, charging, and transfer activities.
- Verify field execution of operational activities.
- Communicate process abnormalities and corrective actions.

6. Equipment & Utility Monitoring

- Monitor mixers, dispersers, mills, transfer pumps, storage tanks, reactors, and utility systems.
- Track equipment operating conditions and performance trends.
- Report equipment abnormalities to maintenance and shift supervision.
- Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

7. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain DCS logbooks and electronic records.
- Record process deviations, alarms, downtime, and production data.
- Generate shift reports and production summaries.
- Ensure proper shift handover and takeover.
- Maintain data integrity and process records.

8. Continuous Improvement

- Participate in process optimization initiatives.
- Support automation and digitalization projects.
- Contribute to TQM drive-Kaizen, POKA YOKE,OPL,DWM.
- Suggest improvements to enhance process reliability and safety.
