Hiring: Databricks–Tableau–SAP Architect (Analytics & BI)

Location: Bengaluru | Work from Office, 5 days a week Experience: 10–15 years (Architect level) Team: New team build - Individual Contributor initially

We're looking for a hands-on Databricks–Tableau–SAP Architect who can single-handedly design, build, and scale our analytics and BI capability from the ground up. Not a purely advisory role - you'll write pipelines, build dashboards, and solve integrations yourself early on, while hiring and mentoring a team as the function matures.

We need a rare mix: a data engineering architect (Databricks), a visualization expert (Tableau), and someone who deeply understands SAP data - able to bridge all three into one enterprise-grade platform.

What you'll own

- End-to-end pipelines on Databricks (Lakehouse, Delta Lake, PySpark/SQL) from SAP and other sources
- Scalable, secure, cost-optimized data platforms - ingestion to consumption
- Hands-on Tableau dashboard building and optimization for business stakeholders
- Data modeling standards (star/snowflake, semantic layers) and performance tuning
- SAP data extraction/integration (SLT, CDC, BW, OData) with SAP functional teams




- Building the BI team from scratch - hiring, onboarding, ways of working
- Performance management, stakeholder engagement, and governance

What we're looking for

- 10+ years in data engineering/BI, 3–5+ years at architect level, hands-on
- Strong Databricks expertise: Delta Lake, Spark (PySpark/SQL), Unity Catalog, cluster/cost optimization
- Strong Tableau expertise: dashboard design, LOD expressions, performance tuning, Server/Cloud admin
- Working knowledge of SAP (FI/CO, MM, SD) and extraction methods (SLT, BW, CDS views, OData)
- Proficiency in SQL and Python
- Experience with dimensional modeling and semantic layers for BI
- Prior experience building a team from scratch, incl. hiring & performance management
- Strong stakeholder management skills

Valuable to have: Databricks on Azure/AWS/GCP, SAP BW/4HANA or Datasphere, CI/CD for data pipelines, relevant certifications.
