Lead enterprise Data and AI initiatives from initiation to production

As a Data Project Manager at Ideas2IT, you'll bridge business objectives, clients and engineering teams to successfully deliver enterprise-scale Data and AI initiatives.

You'll work with Data Architects, Data Engineers, Cloud Engineers, Product Managers and business stakeholders, owning delivery from project initiation through production with a focus on quality, predictability, stakeholder satisfaction and business impact.

What you'll actually do as a Data Project Manager with us

Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise Data Engineering and Cloud Data Platform projects

Manage cross-functional teams of Data Engineers, Data Architects, Cloud Engineers, QA and Product teams

Work with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into executable delivery plans

Drive Agile project execution while ensuring scope, quality, timelines and budgets are met

Work alongside Data Architects to deliver scalable, cloud-native data platforms on AWS, Azure or GCP

Track project risks, dependencies, resource allocation and stakeholder expectations

Ensure successful delivery of Data Warehousing, Lakehouse, ETL/ELT, Streaming and Analytics solutions

Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, release planning, retrospectives and executive status reporting

Build strong client relationships through proactive communication and transparent project governance

Mentor teams, promote Agile best practices and continuously improve delivery processes

Collaborate with leadership during solutioning, estimations, RFPs and pre-sales activities

Must-haves

10+ years of overall IT experience, with 3+ years managing software delivery projects





Experience delivering Data Engineering, Data Platform, Analytics, Cloud or AI/ML projects

Strong understanding of modern data architectures, including Data Warehousing, Data Lakes and Lakehouse concepts

Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP

Good understanding of Data Engineering technologies including Spark, PySpark, Kafka, Airflow, Data Factory, Glue, Snowflake, Redshift or Databricks

Strong knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban or SAFe

Excellent stakeholder management and client communication skills

Ability to work closely with technical teams while driving business outcomes

Experience in project planning, estimation, budgeting, resource management and risk mitigation

Strong problem-solving, leadership and decision-making skills

Experience mentoring delivery teams and managing distributed engineering teams

Nice-to-haves

Exposure to AI/ML, Generative AI or Data Science projects

Understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality and Data Security practices

Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices for Data Platforms

PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, Secure or Agile certifications

Product Management exposure
