We are Hiring Data Privacy Specialist

Role Description: The Data Privacy Specialist (DPDPA) will work full time on-site at the Ahmedabad office and/or at Client's Premises across India, focusing on data privacy and compliance under relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities include interpreting and applying privacy laws and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), drafting and reviewing privacy policies and notices, and advising internal stakeholders and clients on compliance requirements. The role involves conducting privacy impact assessments, mapping data flows, monitoring adherence to privacy controls, and supporting the development of privacy frameworks, procedures, and documentation. The specialist will also collaborate with legal and technical teams to address data subject requests, manage incidents or potential breaches, deliver privacy training, and contribute to ongoing improvement of privacy governance.

Qualifications

Solid knowledge of privacy regulations and data privacy frameworks, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) or equivalent laws. Bachelor of Law (LLB)



Degree and/or certification like CIPM/ CIPP preferred

Relevant Experience shall be given higher weightage: Experience in privacy compliance activities, such as risk assessments, audits, and implementation of privacy controls. Ability to draft, review, and maintain transparent and comprehensive privacy policies, notices, and related documentation. Demonstrated analytical skills for assessing data flows, identifying privacy risks, and recommending practical mitigation strategies.

Relevant academic background in law, information security, compliance, or a related field; Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex privacy requirements to non-specialist stakeholders.Attention to detail, high ethical standards, and the ability to work collaboratively with legal, technical, and business teams in office.
