About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst specializing in healthcare data to join our agile team. In this role, you will be instrumental in analyzing large-scale healthcare datasets, including claims, eligibility, provider, utilization, and quality data, primarily from the US healthcare sector. Your expertise in MS SQL, healthcare data modeling, and integration will be critical in building scalable cloud infrastructure, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting strategic decision-making processes.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data models, optimize queries, and create comprehensive reports that inform healthcare operations, compliance, and quality improvement initiatives. Additionally, you will be responsible for designing process workflows, maintaining data lineage documentation, and translating complex healthcare data into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Statistics, Healthcare Analytics, or a related field. A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience working with US healthcare data, including benefits, claims, and eligibility datasets, is required.
Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing healthcare datasets is essential.
Familiarity with contemporary data warehousing platforms such as Snowflake and MySQL, along with experience in healthcare process and data flow documentation using tools like Microsoft Visio or draw.io, is highly desirable. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data validation skills are necessary to ensure data integrity and support accurate reporting. Excellent communication skills are vital for collaborating with diverse teams and translating complex data insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
Responsibilities
As a Data Analyst in Healthcare, your responsibilities will include analyzing and reporting on large healthcare datasets, ensuring data quality and integrity, and supporting strategic initiatives. You will write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract and validate data, perform data validation, reconciliation, and transformation to meet business and regulatory requirements. You will work with data engineering teams to support data ingestion and integration from source systems such as claims processing, provider systems, and eligibility feeds.
Supporting analytics initiatives related to value-based care, population health, quality improvement, and operational efficiency will be a core part of your role.
You will create detailed process flows, data lineage diagrams, and system architecture visuals to document healthcare data workflows, business rules, data definitions, and reporting methodologies. Collaboration with stakeholders from Healthcare Operations, Finance, Clinical, Quality, and Compliance teams will be essential to understand reporting needs and develop insights. You will present findings, trends, and actionable recommendations to leadership,
ensuring clarity across technical and non-technical audiences.
Additionally, you will support standardization efforts for healthcare metrics and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.
