Summary
As a Senior Embedded Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and debugging embedded software for automotive systems. You will work closely with system engineers, architects, hardware teams, and validation teams to deliver robust and reliable embedded solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software using C/C++.
- Analyze software requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop and integrate software components for automotive ECUs.
- Perform debugging, unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.
-Troubleshoot complex software and system-level issues. -
- Collaborate with hardware and system teams for software-hardware integration.
- Participate in software architecture, design, and technical discussions.
- Support software integration, verification, and release activities.
- Follow MISRA, ASPICE, ISO 26262, and organizational development standards.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum activities, estimation, and sprint planning.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation and development artifacts.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in embedded software development.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++.
- Good understanding of microcontrollers, memory management, interrupts, RTOS, and real-time concepts.
- Experience with AUTOSAR Classic/Adaptive is preferred.
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, CAN FD, LIN, UDS, and Automotive Ethernet.
- Experience with embedded Linux or RTOS is an advantage.
- Hands-on experience with debugging tools such as Lauterbach, JTAG, GDB, or similar tools.
- Good knowledge of Git, Jenkins, CMake, and CI/CD.
- Experience with unit testing, static code analysis, and code quality tools.
- Understanding of ASPICE, MISRA, and Functional Safety (ISO 26262).
- Experience in ECU software development, integration, and debugging.
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics and bootloader concepts is an added advantage.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Valuable technical communication and teamwork.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
- Strong attention to software quality, reliability, and performance.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Additional Information
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in Embedded Systems, AUTOSAR, or Functional Safety are an added advantage.
