1- Purpose of the Role (Job Summary)

Lead civil, structural, and architectural cost estimation for data center EPC bids — accurate BOQs, defensible rates, and constructability input that win work while protecting margin.

2- Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

· Own the CSA estimate on every tender: quantity take-offs, BOQs, rate analysis, and pricing basis notes.

· Read drawings and specifications for DC-specific drivers: heavy equipment foundations, raised floors, hardstands, security and blast provisions, waterproofing, and fire compartmentation.

· Float subcontract and material inquiries; adjudicate quotes and normalize scope.

· Maintain the CSA cost database: productivity norms, regional unit rates, escalation indices, and cost/MW and cost/sqm benchmarks.

· Identify value-engineering options and quantify savings with the design team.

· Prepare CSA risk and prospect registers; recommend contingency levels.

· Support post-bid clarifications and hand the as-sold estimate to delivery.

· Reconcile as-sold against actual cost on completed projects and feed learnings back.

· Coach CSA estimators and standardize templates and tools.

3- Key Performance Indicators





· 100% on-time estimate delivery per bid plan.

· At least 3 subcontractor quotes per major package.

· Cost database and benchmarks refreshed quarterly.

· Value-engineering savings identified per bid.

4- Qualifications & Certifications

· Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory).

· Quantity surveying qualification (RICS/IIQS) is an advantage; LEED GA or CDCP a plus.

5- Experience

· 10–15 years in civil and structural estimation for industrial or EPC projects, including 6+ years on data center facilities.

· Priced complete CSA scopes.

· Strong subcontractor market knowledge across NCR, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai.

6- Competencies

· Rigorous, auditable quantitative discipline.

· Advanced Excel; BIM-based take-off literacy.

· Sharp scope-gap detection across drawings and specifications.

· Confident negotiator on market rates.
