We're looking for a student intern to join Common Thread and help us build something meaningful from the ground up.

What is Common Thread?

Common Thread is an early-stage mental health venture built around a straightforward idea: people heal better when they don't have to do it alone.

We're creating spaces where mental health support goes beyond individual therapy—through support groups, community conversations, psychoeducational content, skill-building workshops, and opportunities for people to connect with others navigating similar experiences. We are particularly interested in creating spaces that help people move through shame, isolation, and difficult life experiences with more connection and support.

Right now, we're at the beginning. There isn't a large team, a finished brand guide, or years of content sitting in a folder. Most of what you see will be built from scratch over the next few months. If the idea of helping shape something from its earliest stages excites you, this role is for you.

What you'll work on:

? Branding

- Design our logo and core brand identity (colours, fonts, visual language)




- Build out brand assets — templates, highlight covers, social kit

✍️ Content

- Plan and create content calendars
- Design reels/posts that reflect our tone — warm, real, not clinical or performative

? Growth

- Grow and manage our presence on Instagram and LinkedIn
- Drive engagement and reach toward our reach goal

What we're looking for:

- A student with a strong eye for visual identity and design. Degree is no bar.
- Comfortable with Figma/Adobe or other relevant softwares (whichever you use)
- Some sense of what makes content on Instagram/LinkedIn actually work
- Bonus: interest in mental health, community-building, or lived experience of what we work for
- Self-starter energy — small early team, real ownership from day one
