Officer - Costing & Budgeting

Location: Bangalore RO

Experience Required

- Minimum 4 years of experience in Costing & Budgeting.
- Mandatory experience in handling Real Estate Projects (Residential, Commercial, Mixed-use developments).

Job Purpose The objective of this position is to prepare and monitor construction budgets, estimate quantities, perform cost analysis, and support effective cost control for real estate projects. The role will be responsible for ensuring accurate cost estimation, budget monitoring, rate analysis, and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Estimation

- Preparation of BOQs and quantity estimation based on construction drawings.
- Analysis and interpretation of drawings received from Structural Consultants, Architects, and MEP Consultants.
- Preparation of project cost estimates for residential and commercial real estate developments.
- Assist in budget planning during project feasibility and execution stages.

Cost & Budget Monitoring

- Preparation of detailed project budgets and periodic budget revisions.
- Monitor project costs against approved budgets and identify variances.
- Track budget vs. actual expenditures and provide recommendations for cost optimization.
- Prepare and submit monthly cost monitoring reports to management.

Rate Analysis





- Conduct rate analysis for various construction activities and materials.
- Maintain and update cost databases considering location-wise and project-specific parameters.
- Evaluate vendor quotations and support procurement teams in cost comparison exercises.
- Develop benchmarking data for residential and commercial projects.

Reporting & Coordination

- Prepare MIS reports related to project costs, budgets, and forecasts.
- Coordinate with Project, Procurement, Contracts, and Finance teams for cost tracking and control.
- Support management in decision-making through cost analysis and reporting.

Key Competencies

- Strong knowledge of construction costing, budgeting, and estimation.
- Ability to read and analyze architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and cost estimation tools.
- Valuable analytical and reporting skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work within timelines.
