Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Control Room Operator to monitor and operate plant equipment and process parameters from the control room. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining stable plant operations, monitoring electrical and process readings, identifying abnormalities, and coordinating with field operators and the shift team.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor plant operations and process parameters from the control room.
- Operate and monitor control panels, PLC/DCS systems, and related equipment.
- Monitor parameters such as temperature, current, voltage, power, pressure, flow, and other process readings.
- Maintain required operating parameters as per standard operating procedures.
- Coordinate with field operators for smooth and secure plant operation.
- Monitor furnace operation and immediately report abnormalities or deviations.
- Record hourly/daily production and process readings in log sheets.
- Identify alarms, equipment abnormalities, and process deviations and inform the Shift In-Charge.
- Coordinate with electrical and mechanical maintenance teams during breakdowns and maintenance activities.
- Follow start-up, shutdown, and emergency operating procedures.
- Ensure proper communication and handover between shifts.




- Maintain control room housekeeping, records, and operational documentation.
- Strictly follow plant safety rules, PPE requirements, and SOPs.
- Support the production team in achieving production and quality targets.

Qualification & Experience
- Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, or relevant technical field.
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience as a Control Room Operator in a Ferro Alloy, Steel, Furnace, Smelter, or similar heavy industrial plant.
- Experience with PLC/DCS/control panel operation will be preferred.
- Candidates with experience in submerged arc furnace (SAF) operations will be highly preferred.

Required Skills
- Knowledge of industrial plant operations and control room procedures.
- Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical parameters.
- Knowledge of PLC/DCS and control panel monitoring.
- Ability to identify abnormal process conditions and respond promptly.
- Good understanding of safety and emergency procedures.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
- Ability to work under pressure in a production environment.

Preferred Candidate A technically sound and safety-conscious candidate with hands-on experience in ferro alloy/steel plant control room operations, especially furnace monitoring and SAF operations. Pay: Up to ₹17,000.00 per month
