We're looking for a hands-on Senior UI Developer to build fast, intuitive, AI-enabled trading technology for a global derivatives platform used by fast-moving business users.

You'll work close to product, UX, architecture, engineering, quants, and traders to turn complex workflows, real-time data, and business-critical requirements into clean, scalable front-end solutions.

What You'll Do

Build Trading-Grade UI

- Build high-performance React, TypeScript, and JavaScript applications.
- Create intuitive, accessible interfaces for complex trading workflows.
- Develop reusable components, patterns, and front-end standards.
- Integrate with REST APIs, WebSockets, backend services, and Kafka event streams.
- Support secure authentication and SSO, OIDC flow.

Engineer for Quality

- Write clean, scalable, testable code.
- Improve performance, reliability, accessibility, and user experience.
- Contribute to technical design, code reviews, testing, deployment, and documentation.
- Apply CI/CD, DevOps, secure coding, automated testing, and enterprise quality standards.
- Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to speed up delivery without lowering engineering rigour.

Work Close to the Business
- Work with product, UX, business, architecture, and engineering teams.
- Break down ambiguous requirements into estimable tasks, provide realistic timelines, and communicate progress clearly to technical and business stakeholders.
- Turn ambiguous requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Support releases, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Bring

Core Engineering Skills

- 12+ years building enterprise web applications.
- Expert React, TypeScript, modern JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and responsive design.
- Strong front-end architecture, component design, state management, performance optimisation, and automated testing.




- Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions (or equivalent), build pipelines, and basic Kubernetes concepts for deploying and troubleshooting front-end services in enterprise environments.
- Comfortable using application logs, browser devtools, distributed tracing (e.g. OpenTelemetry, Application Insights), and structured error reporting to diagnose issues in production-like environments.

Trading Platform Experience

- Experience building real-time, data-heavy UIs using WebSockets, streaming APIs, Kafka, or event-driven messaging.
- Strong API integration, microservices, and secure authentication experience.
- Financial services, commodities, energy trading, or front-office technology experience is highly desirable.
- Experience consuming or debugging real-time data flows via Kafka or Redpanda, including reading message headers, correlating events across services, and validating stream behaviour during integration and UAT.

AI-Assisted Development
- Confident using GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI services, or equivalent tools.
- Able to use AI for coding, testing, debugging, refactoring, documentation, and pull request preparation.
- Reviews AI-generated output with the same standards for security, privacy, quality, and maintainability as any other code.
