Content Strategist — Advocacy & Leadership Brand Campaign (Remote, 2-Month Contract)
Engagement type: Fixed-term contract
Duration: Two months — late August through late October 2026 (hard end date)
Location: Fully remote
Compensation: ₹1,25,000 – ₹1,75,000 total for the engagement with performance incentives
Reports to: Agency principal (single point of accountability)
About the engagement
We run content and paid media for advocacy, non-profit, and leadership-brand clients. This engagement supports a public-facing leadership figure(s) through an intensive, time-boxed campaign built around a fixed external deadline in late October 2026. Everything ships before that date or it doesn't ship.
Over this window the operation will produce roughly 150-200 finished video, over 100 static assets and Meta ads across multiple editing lanes, supported by a significant paid social budget. Production runs three shoot days per week(on site), and finished assets move into market continuously for testing.
This is a high-tempo, high-stakes, short-duration role. There is no ramp period and no quiet stretch. If you want a calm contract, this is not it. If you want to run a full-scale content operation end to end and have it on your record in two months, it is.
What this role actually is
You are the operational centre of the content machine. The principal owns strategy, ad spend, and messaging decisions and final decisions. You own everything that makes execution happen on time and on brief.
Concretely, you are the person who knows — at any hour — what is shooting, what is in edit, what is approved, what is live, and what is late.
Core responsibilities
- Content calendar and production planning
- Own and maintain the master content calendar through the end of the engagement
- Map shoot days (3× weekly, 5-hour blocks) against required output volume
- Ensure each shoot block is fully briefed before the videographer arrives — locations, wardrobe, talking points, shot list, expected asset count
- Maintain a forward buffer of banked evergreen content so the calendar survives cancellations, weather, and principal-schedule collisions
- Protect one unbooked reactive slot per week for rapid-response content
- Vendor management The engagement uses multiple independent vendors, each owning a distinct format lane. You manage all of them.
- Source, onboard, and brief each vendor or freelancer
- Distribute brand kits, caption templates, fonts, LUTs, music libraries, and safe-zone specs
- Run footage handoff and file management — ingest, labelling, storage, archive
- Track deliverables against committed weekly volume and escalate slippage early
- Manage milestone-based payment tranches and chase invoicing
- Maintain a warm backup vendor in each lane
- Approvals and quality control
- Run the shared approval channel (Slack/WhatsApp/Frame.io) between yourself and the principal
- First-pass QC on every asset before it reaches the principal: brand consistency, caption accuracy, safe zones, audio levels, aspect ratios, platform specs
- Enforce a documented approval chain for comparative and contrast messaging, which carries elevated reputational and compliance sensitivity
- Maintain version control so the live cut is never in question
- Asset library and delivery
- Maintain a single organised, searchable asset library with clear naming conventions
- Ensure every finished asset is exported to correct platform specifications for creative testing
- Deliver approved assets to the paid media workflow on schedule
- Performance feedback loop
- Track creative performance signals (hold rate, click-through, cost per action) against format, hook type, messenger, and subject pillar
- Produce a short weekly readout identifying what is working and what should be retired
- Feed those findings back into the next production cycle so briefs get sharper each week
- Administrative ownership
This is explicitly part of the role, not an afterthought:
- Vendor contracts and paperwork coordination
- Invoice tracking and payment milestone administration
- Scheduling coordination across videographer, principal, and vendors
- Documentation of process so nothing lives only in one person's head
Who we're looking for
Required
- 5+ years in content production coordination, social media management, or agency production
- Demonstrated experience managing freelancers or vendors — not just producing your own work
- Fluent in short-form as well as advocacy advertising vertical video conventions across major social platforms
- Genuinely organised: you already work in some system (Notion, Airtable, ClickUp, Trello) and you keep it current
- Exceptional written English and comfort in a fast, direct approval channel
- Able to work overlapping hours with North American Eastern Time for daily approvals
- Available for the full two months without competing commitments
- Comfortable working under an NDA and exercising discretion about client identity
Strongly preferred
- Advocacy, non-profit, public-affairs, or personal-brand campaign experience
- Familiarity with paid social creative testing — understanding of why isolating variables matters
- Basic editing literacy (you don't need to cut, but you must be able to give a precise, actionable note)
- Experience with high-volume output environments (20+ assets per week)
Not required
- Prior sector knowledge; full context and briefing will be provided
What you get
- ₹1,25000 – ₹1,75,000 for the two-month engagement, paid in milestone tranches with more benchmark metrics
- Direct working relationship with the agency principal — no layers
- Full ownership of a live content operation from setup through delivery
- A complete case study: 150 assets, multi-vendor operation, six-figure media budget
- Reference and continued-work consideration for future engagements
Working conditions — read this carefully
- Two months only. The engagement ends in late October 2026. There is no implied extension.
- Fully remote, but with mandatory daily availability windows for approvals.
- Intensity increases toward the end. The final three weeks are the heaviest. Plan your other commitments accordingly.
- Weekend availability will be required during event coverage and the closing stretch.
- Deliverables are milestone-linked; payment tranches release against accepted work, not elapsed time.
How to apply: Send in PDF with date Aug20:
1. A short note on the largest volume of content you've coordinated and how you kept it organised
2. Any example of a system, tracker, or process you built (screenshots fine, redact as needed)
3. Your availability for the next two months, stated plainly — including what else you are committed to during that period (other roles, contracts, studies, travel). We are not looking for exclusivity, we are looking for an honest picture. Undisclosed competing commitments discovered later will end the engagement.
4. Confirmation you can cover the required overlap hours, with the specific hours you can hold
Please put the name of your preferred project-management or tracking tool in the subject line of your email. Applications without it will not be read.
We are moving quick. Shortlisted candidates will be asked for a brief paid trial task before the contract is confirmed.
