Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Consultant to manage asset verification, documentation, field audits, tagging, data reconciliation, and reporting. The role involves coordinating field teams, analysing asset records, and ensuring accurate reconciliation between physical assets, FAR, GIS, and system records.

Major Responsibilities

1. Asset Data & Documentation

- Analyse FAR, handover records, Oracle data, GIS maps, SLDs, and project records.
- Classify assets into J-, CF-, OF-, and CA- categories.
- Plan verification methodology and sampling for different asset categories.

- 2. Field Verification & Asset Tagging

- Lead field teams for physical verification and GPS-based asset audits.
- Verify asset condition, location, status, and ownership.
- Supervise QR/Barcode tagging and ensure correct asset identification.
- Maintain records of retired, replaced, missing, damaged, and obsolete assets.

3. Reconciliation & Reporting

- Identify and track discrepancies between FAR and physical assets.
- Reconcile field findings with FAR, GIS, Oracle, and capitalization records.
- Maintain a centralized asset database with photographs and geo-coordinates.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and project-level MIS and reconciliation reports.

Qualifications & Skills

· Experience: 5–8 years in utility asset management, fixed asset verification, inventory audit.

· Industry & Ecosystem Knowledge: Good understanding of the overall power distribution ecosystem, including DISCOM operations, vendors, contractors, customers, field teams, and other key stakeholders, with the ability to coordinate effectively across them

- Solid knowledge of electrical distribution assets such as Transformers, Switchgears, RMUs, HT/LT Lines, and Meters.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Oracle Asset Management, GIS tools, and database systems.
- Strong analytical, coordination, team-management, and reporting skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively to project/field locations.
- Ability to manage field teams and deliver project activities within defined timelines.
