Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Construction Supervisor to oversee day-to-day construction activities at project sites. The candidate will be responsible for supervising civil works, coordinating with contractors and project teams, monitoring quality and safety standards, and ensuring timely completion of assigned construction activities as per project plans and schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Site Supervision

- Supervise day-to-day construction activities at assigned project sites.
- Monitor civil construction work as per approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Coordinate and supervise workers, contractors, and subcontractors at the site.
- Ensure proper utilization of manpower, materials, tools, and equipment.
- Monitor daily work progress and identify delays or site-related issues.

Quality Control

- Ensure construction work is carried out as per approved quality standards and specifications.
- Inspect civil works and identify quality issues or deviations.
- Coordinate with project engineers and consultants for technical clarifications.
- Ensure proper use and handling of construction materials.
- Monitor workmanship and ensure corrective actions are taken wherever required.

Safety & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with site safety rules, procedures, and construction standards.
- Monitor the use of appropriate safety equipment and PPE by workers.
- Identify potential safety risks and report/escalate them immediately.
- Maintain a secure and organized working environment at the project site.
- Ensure compliance with applicable construction guidelines and site procedures.

Contractor & Team Coordination

- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, project engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Allocate work to contractors and workers as per project requirements.




- Follow up on material requirements and ensure availability at the site.
- Resolve routine site-level issues and escalate major concerns to the Project Manager/Engineer.
- Maintain effective communication between site teams and management.

Project Progress & Documentation

- Monitor construction progress against the approved project schedule.
- Maintain daily site reports, labour records, material records, and work-progress documentation.
- Prepare and submit regular progress reports to management.
- Track pending activities and ensure timely completion.
- Report delays, material shortages, quality issues, and other project risks to the concerned authority.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of building construction and civil engineering practices.
- Good understanding of construction materials, methods, and quality control.
- Strong site supervision and workforce coordination skills.
- Good knowledge of safety practices and construction standards.
- Ability to read and understand basic civil drawings and specifications.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong follow-up and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work at construction sites and manage multiple activities simultaneously.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and site reporting.

Eligibility

- Diploma in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in building construction, civil works, real estate projects, or infrastructure projects.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in residential/commercial building construction will be preferred.
- Should be comfortable working at project sites and coordinating with contractors and site teams.
