The Opportunity
As a member of a small Enforcement Services group, you will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance of and preservation of public peace, Town beautification and ensuring a secure and viable community through proactive and reactive enforcement of the administration of municipal bylaws and provincial statutes.
You will use your investigative skills in dealing with bylaw complaints, conducting field investigations and inspections.
Your experience consists of a minimum of two years of experience in law enforcement or a related field.
Your educational background includes a diploma in Law Enforcement, Police Foundations, Criminology, etc. or completion of the CPO introduction program. You must meet the requirements to be appointed as a CPO by the Solicitor General. Additionally, you will have a valid class 5 drivers license and a satisfactory drivers abstract.
In exchange for your education, experience and enthusiasm and desire to make difference, the Town offers a competitive salary, a comprehensive benefits plan, the provincial pension plan, starting with three weeks of vacation and a great team to work with.
