The individual is responsible for managing the organization’s external communications strategy which includes, public relations, social media, brand awareness, and presence at external events.

Responsibilities (Public Relations)

The responsibilities include working with internal stakeholders on messaging and with the PR agency to work on media opportunities, writing or editing press releases prior to publication, and helping the organization organize events such as conferences that involve their industry and the local community.

- Coordinating all public relations activities
- Develop a media relations plan including strategy, goals, budget, and tactics
- Develop a media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast, and online media
- Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media
- Manage media inquiries and interview requests
- Create content for press releases, byline articles, and keynote presentations
- Monitor, analyze, and communicate PR results on a quarterly basis
- Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising on an ongoing basis.
- Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness
- Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting the company and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them
- Respond to requests for information releases or press conferences from the media or designate a spokesperson or source of information.

Requirements & Skills

- Ability to pitch to media.
- Ability to work on big strategic plans as well as day-to-day tasks.




- Ability to run PR campaigns that deliver measurable results and meet objectives.
- Deadline-oriented, inquisitive, with great follow-up and reporting skills.
- Creativity in securing coverage and buzz with traditional outlets.
- Proven working experience in public relations required
- Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at both a local and national level
- Strong relationships with both local and national business and industry media outlets

Responsibilities (Social Media) The individual should be responsible for managing and monitoring the organization’s social media presence and helping in building its brand with consistent efforts to increase brand awareness and drive engagement. Some of their primary duties and responsibilities include:

- Developing and executing content calendars
- Creating and nurturing social media communities
- Staying updated about the latest social media trends
- Tracking useful social media metrics
- Creating effective social media marketing campaigns

Requirements And Skills

- Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a Digital Media Specialist
- Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
- Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
- Extensive knowledge of social media platforms and best practices
- Robust organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to craft engaging content
- Nuanced understanding of the latest social media trends
- Ability to create effective social media marketing strategies and campaigns
- Understanding of social media and solid experience working with bloggers.

Overall Experience And Skills





- 10 to 12 years of work experience in large size corporates
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, PR, corporate communication, marketing, or related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to think both creatively and strategically.
- Project and budget management skills.
- Responds well under pressure with strict time limits.
- Quick and enthusiastic learner.
