About us

EXST Coffee Lab (exstcoffee.com) is a specialty coffee roaster in Okhla, Delhi-NCR, opening an experience center built around education and immersion. It’s a space for tastings, omakase, guest-hosted events, and everything coffee. We source coffees with care, roast to honor the integrity of every bean, and work with coffees from across India and the world.

The role

This isn't just a barista role. You'll be one of the people who brings EXST's coffee experiences to life — behind the bar, at the table, and in front of a room. You'll brew outstanding coffee, but you'll also talk about it, teach it, and create experiences around it.

What you'll do

- Run the bar - dial in coffees, pull consistent espresso shots, steam milk, and brew across manual methods
- Host coffee omakases, tastings, workshops, and other guest experiences
- Guide guests through coffees by explaining origin, processing, variety, roasting, flavor, and brewing in a way that's engaging and easy to understand
- Lead groups confidently, whether you're talking to two curious guests or a room full of people
- Build and refine brew recipes across manual brew, espresso, and other methods
- Participate in cuppings and daily calibration, developing a strong sensory vocabulary
- Help develop new coffee experiences,



workshops, and events for EXST
- Get hands-on exposure to roasting and understand how roast profiles shape the final cup
- Represent EXST at events, collaborations, pop-ups, and other coffee experiences
- Continue developing your coffee knowledge and have opportunities to participate in competitions and industry events

What we're looking for

- 1+ year of experience in a specialty coffee environment, café, hotel, roastery, or similar setting
- Strong working knowledge of espresso extraction, grind calibration, milk texturing, and manual brewing
- Genuine passion for coffee — you should be the kind of person who naturally wants to know why a coffee tastes the way it does
- Good palate and sensory awareness; able to identify and articulate differences in a cup
- Confident communicator who can explain technical coffee concepts without making them intimidating
- Comfortable speaking to groups and hosting an experience from beginning to end
- Warm, hospitable, and genuinely interested in people
- Curious and experimental; excited to try different coffees, techniques, and ideas
- Comfortable speaking in English and Hindi
- Flexible with morning, evening, and weekend shifts
- SCA certification, Coffee Board certification, competition experience, or equivalent training is a plus, not required
