Clinical Associate – NICU

Qualification

- MBBS with MD/DNB in Pediatrics
- NICU Fellowship preferred
- Additional training/certification in Neonatology or Neonatal Critical Care will be an added advantage

Experience

- Prior NICU experience is mandatory
- Candidates with hands-on experience in managing neonates and critically ill newborns will be preferred
- Experience in a high-volume or tertiary-care NICU is desirable

Key Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive medical care to neonates admitted to the NICU
- Assess, diagnose, and manage critically ill and premature newborns
- Monitor neonates and respond promptly to clinical deterioration and emergencies
- Manage neonatal respiratory distress, sepsis, prematurity, low birth weight, and other critical conditions
- Assist with and perform neonatal procedures as per competency and hospital protocols
- Manage ventilated and critically ill neonates under appropriate supervision
- Coordinate with Consultants, Neonatologists, Pediatricians, and other clinical teams




- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, treatment plans, and patient records
- Communicate effectively with parents and family members regarding the baby's clinical condition and treatment plan
- Ensure adherence to NICU protocols, infection-control practices, and patient-safety standards
- Participate in emergency duties, rounds, handovers, and other NICU-related clinical activities
