Company Description Manav Vikas Sansthan (MVS) is a non-government, secular, and non-political voluntary organization established in 1996 in the Kotdhar region of Bilaspur district, Himachal Pradesh. The organization is committed to improving the quality of life of local communities and the surrounding workplace, operating from Kalol village and working across Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana. MVS focuses on women’s empowerment and youth employment through sustainable agriculture livelihoods, animal husbandry, and watershed development, with support from NABARD, ITC, ACC, and government departments.

Guided by a vision of sustainable rural livelihoods and multiple forms of security, MVS promotes better sanitation and responsible use of natural resources. Its mission centers on meeting the growing demand for water, food, and hygiene by enabling smallholder farmers and fostering a healthier rural environment.

Role Description The Civil Project Engineer will support the planning, design, and implementation of civil engineering works related to watershed development, rural infrastructure, and sustainable livelihood projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing civil engineering designs, coordinating site development activities, and overseeing stormwater management and drainage solutions for project locations. The role involves conducting site visits, monitoring construction quality,



ensuring compliance with technical standards and safety guidelines, and preparing technical reports and documentation.

The Civil Project

Engineer will collaborate with project teams, local stakeholders, and partner organizations to deliver cost-effective and environmentally responsible solutions. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Rupnagar, with a combination of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design.
- Candidates should possess skills in Site Development and related land use planning.
- Candidates should possess skills in Stormwater Management and basic hydrology or drainage design.
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Control for construction materials, workmanship, and project execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field; a master’s degree is an advantage.
- Experience in rural infrastructure, watershed projects, or development-sector engineering is preferred.
- Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD) and strong technical drawing and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in field conditions, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and communicate clearly with community stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and environmental sustainability.
