Company Description ICT Academy is a not-for-profit initiative of the Government of India, state governments, and industry partners, established under a Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) model. The organization focuses on training higher education teachers and students to build next-generation educators and industry-ready graduates, with a strong emphasis on tier 2 and 3 towns and rural areas. Formed with representation from the State Government of Tamil Nadu, leading ICT companies, and NASSCOM, ICT Academy bridges the gap between academia and industry.

Role Description The Cisco Instructor will deliver instructor-led training on Cisco networking technologies and related information technology topics to students and faculty members. This full-time, on-site role is based in Chennai and involves planning, preparing, and delivering structured classroom sessions aligned with Cisco curricula and ICT Academy standards. Daily responsibilities include developing lesson plans, creating learning materials and labs, conducting assessments, providing feedback and mentoring to learners, and maintaining accurate training records.

The instructor will stay current with Cisco certifications and industry developments,



support curriculum enhancement, participate in faculty development activities, and collaborate with academic institutions and internal teams to improve program quality and learner outcomes.

Qualifications

- Strong networking knowledge with hands-on experience in routing, switching, and network infrastructure.
- Relevant Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) and the ability to effectively teach Cisco technologies.
- Teaching, training, or academic instruction experience, preferably in higher education or professional training environments.
- Understanding of network security principles and practices, with the ability to introduce security concepts in coursework.
- Foundational knowledge of information technology, including hardware, operating systems, and basic troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse learner groups.
- Strong classroom management, mentoring, and learner engagement skills, with a focus on inclusive and respectful learning environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field; advanced certifications or a master’s degree is an advantage.
- Ability to work in office in Chennai, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and participate in institutional outreach and faculty development programs.
- Commitment to continuous learning, staying updated on Cisco technologies and industry trends, and contributing to curriculum improvement.
