Job Purpose

Supervise the procurement of all the Capex and Opex materials and services required for initiatives taken at the zone / area level

Oversee the transportation and storage of materials and equipment to the zone warehouse and ensure their availability at the site based on requirement

Key Job Responsibilities

Functional/ Technical/ Process

Capex and Opex Procurement

- Coordinate with Zone/ Area to determine material requirement for the location
- Raise capex and opex material requirement requests from warehouse and to Material Planning & Assurance for materials to be procured from vendors
- Ensure proper documentation for all transactions and transfers related to Capex and Opex materials at the Zone / Area
- Ensure that the documentation is available for others to verify or use in order to track materials and vendor costs

Vendor Selection and Management

- Assist Zonal Capex and Opex executives with identification of vendors that are appropriate for the type of equipment (Class A) required at the zonal/ area level
- Evaluate vendors based on various parameters like specification, SLAs, quality etc.
- Coordinate with Services Procurement to ensure verification and approval of vendors
- Follow up with the Finance team for bill processing and ensure timely payment to vendors
- Escalate vendor matters to Regional Head, Capex Service Procurement and Services Procurement in situations of mismatch between data or understanding

Warehouse and Logistics Management

- Monitor efficiency of the warehouse with metrics such as lead time from material requests received by the warehouse at the zone/ area




- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials to the warehouse and directly to the site
- Conduct warehouse visits and physical verification to ensure adherence of vendors to SLAs
- Monitor inventory levels of all equipment at the warehouse
- Track delivery of Class A equipment from the warehouse to the site

Services Management

- Ensure all capex services are available at the deployment site on time and prevent delays due to inability of vendors to deliver the appropriate service
- Ensure upkeep of existing sites including regular repairs by overseeing the provision of opex services delivery

Customer- Internal Customer Satisfaction

- Complete all vendor on-boarding tasks to ensure the vendor is able to deliver on time
- Provide feedback to Warehouse & Logistics and Services Procurement on the supplier performance basis compliance with contract terms, product quality and on time delivery
- Track order acknowledgement, prepare and communicate shortage and backlog reports, and provide visibility of potential interruptions to internal customers

Financial- Supply Chain Budgeting

- Coordinate with SCM Head to monitor overall cost levels and implement initiatives to increase efficiency within the region

People Management and Development





- Allocate responsibilities to the members within team, supervise performance, resolve grievances, counsel and mentor team members
- Lead and provide guidance to direct reports
- Monitor attrition in the team and drive engagement initiatives to build morale
- Ensure the timely completion of performance appraisals with quality review and inputs from Managers in order to increase the capability and morale of the team to deliver goals
- Support in recruitment related activities to meet the manpower needs of the business

Key Performance Indicators

- Performance Measures- % of orders placed in time as per schedule
- Cost Savings on Procurement for Capex goods
- Revenue earned on sale of scrap material
- Annual reduction in total capex procurement cost for the circle as a percentage of sales
- Inventory Stock out (%) at site
- Loss due to leakage at warehouse
- Stock out rate at Warehouse
- Variance between actual material purchase price and the final budgeted price
