1st Housekeeper & Assistant Housekeeper

Requirements

- Minimum 2+ years of experience as 1st Housekeeper / Assistant Housekeeper or similar position
- Experience in a 4/5-star hotel or cruise ship environment
- Cruise experience, especially on ships with 500+ staterooms, is preferred
- Strong team-leadership and supervisory experience
- Knowledge of housekeeping chemicals, equipment, sanitation and Public Health standards
- Excellent English communication and guest-service skills
- Professional appearance, grooming and hygiene standards
- Ability to work under pressure and in a multicultural environment
- Adaptable, positive and team-oriented attitude

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise daily housekeeping operations and housekeeping team




- Assist the Executive Housekeeper in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest service
- Monitor cleaning standards in guest staterooms, public areas, corridors and crew areas
- Prepare and manage work schedules and ensure proper staff allocation
- Conduct regular inspections and follow up on maintenance/technical issues
- Monitor housekeeping supplies, inventory and locker par levels
- Handle guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related concerns professionally
- Support luggage handling and embarkation/disembarkation operations
- Maintain Public Health, sanitation, safety and hygiene standards
- Train, guide and motivate a multicultural housekeeping team
- Assist with reports, checklists, inventories and Public Health inspections
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs and service standards
