Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the complete business and project lifecycle of the organization.
The CEO will be responsible for Business Development, Customer Relationship Management, Order Conversion, Project Execution, Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Installation, Commissioning and Customer Satisfaction.
The ideal candidate should be a hands-on business and project leader with strong experience in the Water & Wastewater, Environmental, EPC or Infrastructure industry, with proven capability in developing business, managing large projects and building long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Market Expansion
- Develop and implement the company's Business Development strategy.
- Identify current markets, customers, sectors and project opportunities.
- Develop relationships with Government departments, Municipal Corporations, PSUs, EPC companies and industrial customers.
- Develop strategic accounts across India and international markets.
- Identify opportunities in STP, ETP, WTP, Tertiary Treatment, Water Recycling & Reuse, ZLD, Industrial Wastewater, Waste Management, Waste-to-Energy, Oil & Gas, Power, Sugar, Infrastructure and Environmental EPC.
- Build a strong pipeline of strategic opportunities.
- Personally lead critical and high-value customer engagements.
- Drive repeat business and long-term strategic customer relationships.
1. Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with promoters, customers, consultants, government authorities and key decision-makers.
- Understand customer requirements and ensure appropriate technical and commercial solutions.
- Act as the escalation point for critical customer issues.
- Maintain continuous engagement with key customers throughout project execution.
- Ensure customer concerns are resolved quickly and professionally.
- Build the organization's reputation for technical capability, commitment and execution reliability.
1. Order Conversion & Commercial Leadership
- Review strategic opportunities and tenders.
- Establish bid strategy and commercial positioning.
- Coordinate with Technical, Estimation, Commercial and Business Development teams.
- Lead important negotiations and customer discussions.
- Evaluate project scope, risks, technical requirements and commercial viability.
- Drive successful order conversion.
- Ensure proper handover from Business Development to Project Execution.
1. End-to-End Project Execution
- Take overall responsibility for successful project execution after order receipt.
- Monitor the complete cycle:
Contract Award Project Kick-Off Engineering Procurement Manufacturing Dispatch Installation Construction Testing Commissioning Performance Guarantee Handover
- Review project execution strategy, priorities and milestones.
- Monitor engineering approvals, procurement, manufacturing and site execution.
- Identify and remove cross-functional bottlenecks.
- Review project progress against contractual milestones.
- Personally intervene in critical, delayed or high-risk projects.
- Ensure timely project completion, commissioning and handover.
1. Engineering & Technical Leadership
- Possess sufficient technical understanding to guide and challenge engineering decisions.
- Review major technical solutions and ensure they are practical and commercially viable.
- Promote engineering excellence and standardization.
- Review critical design and technology decisions.
- Coordinate with technology partners.
- Ensure technical commitments made during business development are achievable during execution.

Procurement & Manufacturing Coordination
- Ensure timely procurement of critical equipment and materials.
- Monitor long-lead items and procurement risks.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Stores and Manufacturing teams.
- Ensure manufacturing schedules align with project requirements.
- Monitor fabrication and equipment readiness.
- Ensure quality and delivery requirements are maintained.
1. Quality Management
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, QAP and ITP requirements.
- Monitor customer and consultant inspection requirements.
- Reduce rework, rejection and quality failures.
- Ensure quality issues are resolved at source.
- Review major customer complaints and quality failures.
- Establish a strong First Time Right culture.
1. Project Timeline & Delivery
- Establish and drive an On-Time Delivery culture.
- Monitor project milestones and critical-path activities.
- Identify potential delays before they become critical.
- Ensure corrective action plans are implemented.
- Coordinate Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing and Site Execution teams.
- Personally intervene in high-risk projects.
- Ensure timely commissioning and customer handover.
1. Customer Satisfaction & Repeat Business
- Ensure projects are successfully commissioned and performance requirements are achieved.
- Ensure timely closure of punch points and contractual obligations.
- Ensure proper documentation and project handover.
- Obtain and act on customer feedback.
- Resolve customer complaints effectively.
- Maintain post-project customer relationships.
- Develop opportunities for repeat business and referrals.
1. Organization & Leadership
- Lead Business Development, Projects, Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing and Site Execution functions.
- Establish clear roles, KRAs and KPIs.
- Develop competent HODs and Project Managers.
- Build strong second-line leadership.
- Establish accountability across the organization.
- Drive cross-functional coordination and execution discipline.
- Develop a culture of ownership and performance.
- Take timely corrective action for non-performance.
