Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable TGT Chemistry Teacher to join our CBSE school. The ideal candidate should have robust subject knowledge, excellent classroom management skills, and the ability to make Chemistry engaging and easy to understand through practical examples, experiments, activities, and technology-enabled teaching.
The teacher will be responsible for delivering Chemistry/Science instruction as per the CBSE curriculum, primarily for Classes VI–X, assessing student learning, identifying learning gaps, and supporting students in achieving academic excellence.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Academic Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Chemistry/Science lessons in accordance with the CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, presentations, and other teaching resources.
- Explain concepts such as chemical reactions, atoms and molecules, acids and bases, periodic classification, metals and non-metals, carbon compounds, and related topics effectively.
- Use practical demonstrations, laboratory activities, experiments, and real-life applications to strengthen conceptual understanding.
- Develop students' scientific thinking, analytical abilities, and problem-solving skills.
- Integrate smart-class technology, digital resources, simulations, and multimedia into classroom teaching.
- Encourage students to participate in science exhibitions, projects, quizzes, Olympiads, and other academic activities.
Assessment & Student Development
- Conduct regular class tests, assignments, assessments, and examinations.
- Prepare question papers and evaluate answer scripts in accordance with school and CBSE requirements.
- Monitor individual student performance and maintain accurate academic records.
- Identify slow learners and students requiring additional academic support.
- Provide remedial classes and enrichment activities wherever required.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate academic progress to parents.
Laboratory & Practical Responsibilities
- Conduct and supervise Chemistry practical activities in accordance with school safety procedures.
- Ensure proper handling and usage of laboratory equipment and materials.
- Maintain appropriate laboratory records and encourage students to follow safety protocols.
- Coordinate with the laboratory staff for practical sessions and academic requirements.
Classroom & School Responsibilities
- Maintain a positive, disciplined, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Encourage active student participation and collaborative learning.
- Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings and provide appropriate academic feedback.
- Support school examinations, events, competitions, and co-curricular activities.
- Maintain lesson plans, student records, assessment documentation, and other academic reports.
- Participate in teacher training and professional development programs.
- Collaborate with other Science faculty members to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
- Perform additional academic responsibilities assigned by the School Management.
Educational Qualification
- B.Sc. in Chemistry or a relevant Science degree from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. with Science/Chemistry as the teaching subject.
- CTET/TET qualification will be an added advantage.
- Candidates should meet the applicable CBSE/NCTE teacher qualification requirements.
Experience
- 2–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school preferred.
- Experience handling Classes VI–X is preferred.
- Candidates with experience in board-oriented teaching and student assessment will be preferred.

- Experience conducting practical demonstrations and science activities.
- Willingness to contribute to the overall academic and co-curricular development of the school.
