Category Data Analyst Intern

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Category Data Analyst Intern to support our Flights Category Management team. The intern will work with business and category data to identify trends, generate insights, track performance, and support data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

- Collect, clean, and analyze category, sales, product, and customer data.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports and dashboards.
- Track key category metrics such as sales, revenue, margins, growth, inventory, and product performance.
- Identify trends, patterns, gaps, and opportunities within assigned categories.
- Support category managers with data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Maintain and update databases, spreadsheets, and analytical reports.




- Perform competitor, pricing, and assortment analysis when required.
- Work with cross-functional teams such as Category, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance.
- Automate repetitive reporting processes where possible.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of data across reports and dashboards.

Required Skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Valuable knowledge of MS Excel/Google Sheets, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, charts, and basic data analysis.
- Basic knowledge of SQL is preferred.
- Familiarity with any visualization tools is an advantage.
- Good understanding of statistics and data interpretation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Educational Qualification

- Completed a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Commerce, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
