Responsible for the complete operation of the cafe during the evening and night shift, including opening the shop, preparing products, handling cash and payments, providing excellent customer service, maintaining cleanliness, managing stock, and closing the cafe at the end of the shift.

Key Responsibilities

Opening the Cafe

Open the cafe at 6:00 PM and prepare the shop for business.

Switch on equipment, check the kitchen/work area, and ensure all products and ingredients are ready.

Check stock levels and prepare items required for the shift.

Ensure the cafe is clean, organized, and ready to serve customers.

Product Preparation

Prepare food, beverages, and other cafe products according to company standards.

Maintain proper portion sizes, presentation, quality, and hygiene.

Monitor product availability throughout the shift and prepare additional items when required.

Follow food-safety and hygiene procedures.

Cash & Payment Handling

Handle cash, card, UPI, and other payment methods accurately.

Operate the POS/billing system and generate customer bills.

Maintain accurate records of sales and cash transactions.

Check the cash balance at the end of the shift and report any discrepancies.

Customer Service

Greet customers and provide friendly and qualified service.

Take orders accurately and communicate them to the preparation team.

Handle customer questions, complaints, and special requests professionally.





Ensure customers receive their orders correctly and on time.

Cleaning & Hygiene

Maintain cleanliness of the counter, kitchen, dining area, equipment, and storage areas throughout the shift.

Clean utensils, equipment, tables, floors, and other work areas as required.

Dispose of waste properly and maintain proper hygiene standards.

Ensure the cafe remains presentable throughout operating hours.

Closing Responsibilities

Stop operations and complete end-of-day cleaning.

Store ingredients and products properly.

Clean and switch off equipment as required.

Reconcile the day's sales and cash.

Secure stock, cash, and the premises.

Lock and close the cafe at approximately 3:00 AM.

Skills & Requirements

Good communication and customer-service skills.

Basic cash-handling and billing/POS knowledge.

Ability to prepare food and beverages according to standards.

Good hygiene and cleanliness habits.

Ability to work independently during the night shift.

Ability to multitask in a busy cafe environment.

Responsible, punctual, and trustworthy.

Previous cafe, restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience is an advantage.

Working Hours

6:00 PM – 3:00 AM, including opening and closing responsibilities.
