Role Summary The Deputy Manager - USM Marketing will be an individual contributor responsible for end-to-end marketing for the Unified Service Management (USM) portfolio, which is part of HCLTech Digital Foundation Services. USM focuses on helping enterprises unify, automate and optimize service management across IT and business operations. The role will have primary responsibility for managing marketing programs and the relationship with a strategic global technology partner, translating alliance priorities, service offerings and growth objectives into integrated marketing programs that strengthen market visibility, deepen partner engagement, generate demand and support pipeline creation.
This is a hands-on Deputy Manager role based in Noida for a B2B marketer with 5-8 years of experience, preferably in IT services marketing. The candidate will operate as an individual contributor and report into the Marketing Lead for Unified Service Management within HCLTech Digital Foundation Services. The role will combine alliance marketing, campaign management, account-based marketing, content and thought leadership, events, customer advocacy, stakeholder management, analytics and modern MarTech-enabled execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing Strategy and Planning: Develop annual and quarterly marketing plans for the strategic global technology partner relationship aligned to HCLTech business priorities, joint go-to-market themes, target industries, geographies, buyer personas and pipeline goals. Convert strategic objectives into campaigns, content calendars, event plans and measurable programs.
- Alliance and Relationship Management: Serve as the primary marketing interface for the strategic global technology partner relationship. Build strong working relationships with the strategic partner’s marketing teams, HCLTech business leaders, sales, alliance, solution and delivery stakeholders; manage priorities, governance, approvals, funding and joint execution.
- Integrated Campaigns and Demand Generation: Plan and execute multi-channel campaigns across email, web, social, paid media, webinars, events, partner channels and sales activation. Drive lead generation, nurture, conversion and pipeline influence while maintaining alignment with brand and compliance requirements.
- Account-Based Marketing: Design and support one-to-one and one-to-few ABM programs for priority accounts and industries. Use account intent, engagement and buying-stage insights to create personalized messaging, content, experiences and sales enablement.
- Content, Thought Leadership and Storytelling: Develop differentiated messaging and content for strategic partner-led offerings, including solution briefs, webpages, blogs, whitepapers, research reports, executive viewpoints, videos, presentations, case studies, social assets and campaign toolkits.
- Customer Advocacy and Proof Points: Identify and develop client success stories, testimonials, videos and references. Coordinate with account teams, clients, legal, brand and creative stakeholders to secure approvals and publish high-quality assets across relevant channels.
- Events and Partner Programs: Lead marketing for flagship partner and HCLTech events, executive roundtables, industry forums, roadshows, webinars and partner-led programs.
Manage event positioning, audience acquisition, speaker readiness, follow-up and performance measurement.
- Budget, Grants and Agency Management: Plan and track marketing budgets, strategic partner marketing funds and campaign grants. Manage agencies, writers, designers, media partners and production vendors to ensure quality, timely delivery and cost effectiveness.
- Digital, Analytics and Optimization: Define KPIs and dashboards for reach, engagement, MQLs, account progression, event performance, content consumption, conversion, pipeline influence and ROI. Use insights to optimize programs and present clear performance narratives to stakeholders.
- Marketing Operations and Governance: Maintain campaign calendars, project plans, Jira or workflow trackers, asset repositories, approval logs and reporting cadence. Ensure consistent execution across brand, digital, creative, legal, procurement, operations, sales and partner teams.
- MarTech and AI Adoption: Apply modern marketing technology and generative AI to improve audience intelligence, content development, personalization, campaign orchestration, automation, measurement and productivity while following enterprise governance and data privacy standards.
Required Skills and Capabilities The role requires strength across the following areas:
- 5–8 years of relevant B2B marketing experience, with significant exposure to IT services, technology, consulting, enterprise software, cloud, digital transformation or alliance marketing.
- Experience managing marketing for a strategic technology alliance or ecosystem partner; prior exposure to hyperscalers, enterprise workflow platforms, SaaS ecosystems or other strategic partner marketing is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of IT services marketing, including service positioning, solution narratives, buyer personas, customer journeys, go-to-market planning and sales-aligned demand generation.
- Integrated campaign management experience across digital, social, email, web, paid media, webinars, events, field marketing, partner marketing and account-based marketing.
- Ability to build compelling B2B content and executive narratives for complex technology and transformation topics, with strong writing, editing, presentation and storytelling skills.
- Proven stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across alliance, sales, business, solution, delivery, vertical, geography, brand, communications, legal and operations teams.
- Experience with customer advocacy, client testimonials, case studies and approval workflows involving account teams, clients, legal, brand and production stakeholders.
- Experience planning executive events, industry forums, roadshows and partner programs, including audience acquisition, content readiness, stakeholder coordination and post-event activation.
- Budget ownership and partner-fund management experience, including planning, utilization tracking,
vendor management, purchase processes and ROI reporting.
- Data-driven and results-oriented mindset with ownership of marketing KPIs, campaign performance, lead quality, account engagement, pipeline influence and continuous optimization.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, technology or a related discipline. A postgraduate qualification or recognized digital marketing, ABM, analytics or MarTech certification is desirable.
- Exposure to HCLTech’s current MarTech stack, including Salesforce, Eloqua/Marketo, Demandbase/6sense and marketing analytics tools, with the ability to support campaign set-up, tracking, reporting and optimization.
- Familiarity with applying these tools for ABM, marketing automation, CRM data alignment, audience intelligence, campaign performance insights and pipeline-influence reporting.
