About FinanceOps

FinanceOps is a venture-funded fintech startup founded in 2023 in Austin, Texas, building an AI-powered platform for collections and back-office financial operations.

Our platform helps financial institutions, lenders, healthcare providers, utilities, and other enterprises improve recovery rates, reduce operational costs, and automate traditionally manual financial workflows. FinanceOps combines AI, machine learning, automation, and third-party risk data to evaluate customer collectibility, verify borrower claims, personalize engagement strategies, and automate actions across digital communication channels.

We are building the infrastructure for the next generation of financial operations and are looking for ambitious people who want to grow alongside a rapid-moving global startup.

The RoleFinanceOps is looking for a driven Business Development Representative (BDR) based in India to help grow our customer base across the United States and Canada.

You will be responsible for identifying target accounts, reaching decision-makers, generating qualified sales opportunities, and helping build FinanceOps' North American pipeline.

This is an outbound-focused role. You should be comfortable researching companies, cold calling senior decision-makers, writing personalized outbound emails, using LinkedIn and sales intelligence tools, and having early-stage conversations with prospects.

You will primarily engage with leaders across Finance, Accounts Receivable, Collections, Credit, Risk, Operations, and Payments, including CFOs, Controllers, Heads of Collections, Credit Managers, and other senior executives.

You will work closely with FinanceOps' founders, sales team, and marketing team to continuously improve targeting, messaging, qualification, and outbound strategy.

Because the role focuses on North America, candidates must be comfortable working hours that provide meaningful overlap with US and Canadian business hours.

What You'll Do

- Research and identify high-value target companies across the US and Canadian markets.
- Build targeted prospect lists across industries including financial services, lending, credit unions, healthcare, utilities, SaaS, and other accounts-receivable-heavy businesses.
- Identify and engage relevant decision-makers including CFOs, Controllers, Heads of Collections, Credit Leaders, AR Leaders, and Operations executives.
- Conduct high-volume, high-quality outbound prospecting through cold calls, email, LinkedIn, and other digital channels.
- Develop personalized messaging based on each prospect's business, industry,

and collections challenges.
- Qualify inbound and outbound prospects based on business need, account profile, timing, decision-making authority, and potential value.
- Conduct initial discovery conversations to understand prospects' collections processes, operational challenges, technology stack, and business priorities.
- Clearly communicate how FinanceOps can help companies improve collections performance, automate financial workflows, and reduce operating costs.
- Schedule qualified product demonstrations and meetings for Account Executives and company leadership.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts, contacts, activities, opportunities, and follow-ups within the CRM.
- Consistently manage follow-ups and nurture prospects across longer enterprise sales cycles.
- Track activity and conversion metrics including calls, emails, conversations, meetings booked, qualified opportunities, and pipeline generated.
- Test new messaging, sequences, industries, personas, and outbound strategies to continuously improve conversion.
- Share market feedback, objections, competitive intelligence, and customer insights with the broader product, sales, and marketing teams.

What We're Looking For
- 1–4 years of experience in B2B business development, SDR/BDR, inside sales, or outbound sales.
- Experience selling or prospecting into the United States or Canadian market is strongly preferred.
- Strong cold-calling skills and confidence speaking with senior business executives.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Ability to write concise, personalized, and commercially relevant outbound emails.
- Strong prospecting and account research skills.
- Experience using LinkedIn and modern sales prospecting tools.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar tools.
- Ability to understand a technical or financial product and communicate its business value simply.
- Strong listening and discovery skills.
- Highly organized approach to pipeline management and follow-up.
- Comfortable being measured against clear activity, meeting, and pipeline targets.
- Self-motivated and able to operate effectively in a remote startup environment.

- Comfortable experimenting, learning quickly, and adapting messaging based on results.
- Willingness to work schedules that overlap with US and Canadian business hours.
