About the Role

We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst who can bridge the gap between business needs, product development, and software quality.

The role is primarily focused on Business Analysis and Product Understanding , supported by practical systems knowledge and strong Functional QA ownership .

You will work with stakeholders, clients, and developers to understand business problems, research how industries and similar products operate, define how features should work, translate requirements into clear development expectations, and validate completed work.

We are looking for someone who asks the right questions, challenges assumptions, identifies gaps, and independently develops deep product and domain knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Product Analysis

- Work with clients and stakeholders to understand business problems, workflows, and requirements.
- Research industries, business processes, and comparable products to help define practical product solutions.
- Identify missing requirements, business rules, user roles, dependencies, and edge cases.
- Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and clear development tasks.
- Create basic process flows and functional documentation when needed.
- Become a functional subject-matter expert for assigned products.

Development Collaboration
- Act as the functional bridge between stakeholders and developers.
- Clarify requirements and answer functional questions during implementation.
- Help ensure delivered functionality remains aligned with the business objective.




- Work closely with developers throughout the development lifecycle to identify and resolve functional gaps.

Functional QA Ownership Own functional QA across active development projects, including:
- Manual and regression testing
- Integration and API testing
- Workflow, business-rule, and RBAC validation
- UAT and release validation
- Defect reporting, retesting, and closure
- Pre-release functional validation

Technical Understanding You are not expected to be a developer , but you should understand enough to communicate effectively with technical teams.

Working knowledge of the following is expected:

- Frontend and backend concepts
- REST APIs and third-party integrations
- Relational databases and basic SQL
- Authentication, authorization, and RBAC
- JSON and API request/response structures
- Web and mobile application workflows
- SDLC and Agile development practices

Use of modern AI tools for research, analysis, documentation, QA support, and technical understanding is encouraged.

Required Qualifications

- 5-6+ years of relevant experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, Product Analysis, Software QA, or a combination of these areas.
- Strong experience gathering and analyzing software requirements.
- Experience working directly with software development teams.
- Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and functional requirements.
- Hands-on functional QA,



regression testing, defect management, and UAT experience.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Robust analytical, research, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to independently learn unfamiliar industries, products, and business processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Applications, Engineering, or a related field ; equivalent relevant professional experience will also be considered.

Nice to Have
- Experience with SaaS, ERP, CRM, TMS, or workflow-driven business applications .
- Postman/API testing and basic SQL experience.
- Exposure to QA automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium .
- Experience with wireframing or process-diagramming tools.
- Experience tracking development progress, coordinating releases, or working with Jira/ClickUp .
- Exposure to AI/LLM-powered products is helpful but not required.

What Success Looks Like You should become a trusted functional owner for assigned products — able to research and clarify requirements, guide developers on expected behaviour, identify gaps early, and independently own functional QA before release.

Over time, the goal is to reduce the day-to-day Product Management and QA involvement required from company leadership while improving the quality, clarity, and consistency of development delivery.
