Position: Business Analyst – Financial Markets / Capital Markets

Experience: 6 to 8 Years

Location: Chennai / Bangalore

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst with strong domain expertise in Financial Markets / Capital Markets. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and project management teams to analyze business requirements, define solutions, and support delivery across financial market applications and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
- Work closely with development, testing, and business teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct requirement workshops, stakeholder discussions, and impact analysis.
- Create BRDs, FRDs, process maps, use cases, and business workflows.
- Support UAT planning, execution, and defect triage activities.
- Facilitate communication between business users and technical teams.
- Ensure alignment of delivered solutions with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in change management and release planning activities.

Required Skills & Experience

- 6–8 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- Strong domain knowledge in Financial Markets / Capital Markets.
- Experience in one or more areas such as:
- Equities
- Fixed Income
- Derivatives
- Trade Lifecycle




- Securities Processing
- Settlements & Clearing
- Market Operations
- Risk & Regulatory Reporting
- Excellent requirement elicitation and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum and Waterfall delivery models.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with geographically distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- NCFM/NISM certification or equivalent Financial Markets certification.
- Knowledge of industry-standard financial market platforms and processes.
- Exposure to BFSI domain projects with global financial institutions.

Alternative Candidate Criteria

Candidates can also be considered if they meet the following criteria:

- Minimum 2 years of Business Analyst experience in Capital Markets.
- Possess a valid NCFM certification (or equivalent Financial Markets certification).
- Strong understanding of Capital Market operations, trade lifecycle, and financial products.
- Demonstrated learning agility and willingness to grow into a Financial Markets Business Analyst role.
- Good communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.
