Banking & Payments Solution Architect - Presales & Customer Engagement

About the Role

Synechron is looking for an experienced Banking & Payments Solution Architect to lead strategic consulting, solution architecture, presales, and customer engagement initiatives across Banking, Payments, Cards, Merchant Acquiring, Digital Banking, FinTech, and Financial Services domains.

This is a leadership role requiring strong expertise in banking transformation, enterprise architecture, technology modernization, client advisory, and business development. The role involves direct engagement with CIOs, CTOs, Chief Architects, Heads of Payments, and senior business leaders to define transformation roadmaps and deliver innovative technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Strategic Advisory

- Engage with CXOs and senior business stakeholders to understand business priorities and transformation goals.
- Conduct discovery workshops, architecture assessments, and transformation planning sessions.
- Define digital transformation roadmaps and modernization strategies.
- Present solution recommendations, business cases, and investment justifications to executive leadership.
- Build long-term client relationships and identify business growth opportunities.

Solution Architecture & Presales

- Lead end-to-end solutioning for large-scale banking and payments transformation programs.
- Define target-state architecture, solution strategy, implementation approach, and technology roadmap.
- Drive RFP, RFI, proposal development, estimations, and bid management activities.
- Create compelling executive presentations and value propositions.
- Collaborate with delivery, sales,



and consulting teams to develop winning solutions.

Business Development & Practice Growth

- Support sales teams in pipeline development and revenue growth.
- Identify opportunities across consulting, implementation, managed services, and transformation engagements.
- Contribute to GTM initiatives, strategic partnerships, and industry thought leadership.
- Represent Synechron in client workshops, executive briefings, and industry events.

Desired Profile

- 15 years of experience within Banking, Payments, Financial Services, FinTech, or Technology Consulting.
- 8 years in Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Presales, Consulting, or Technology Advisory roles.
- Proven experience leading large transformation pursuits and strategic client engagements.
- Solid exposure to Banking & Payments ecosystems.
- Track record of influencing technology decisions at CIO, CTO, and executive leadership levels.
- Excellent communication, presentation, consulting, and stakeholder management skills.

Education

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field.
- MBA / Master's Degree preferred.
