Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with strong experience in migrating legacy systems, refactoring complex codebases, and building robust integration solutions. You will play a key role in transforming critical business applications from older architectures to up-to-date, maintainable, and scalable platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze, understand, and document the architecture and functionality of legacy Java applications.

- Design and implement strategies to migrate legacy systems to modern Java-based architectures.

- Refactor existing code to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability while preserving functionality.

- Develop and maintain integration solutions between internal and external systems using Java and related technologies.

- Write and maintain comprehensive unit, integration, and regression tests to ensure system reliability post-migration.

- Collaborate closely with business analysts, architects, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure successful delivery.

- Utilize best practices for coding standards, code reviews, and documentation.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across environments.

- Mentor junior developers and promote knowledge sharing within the team.





Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 5–9 years of professional experience in Java (preferably Java 8 and above).

- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.

- Hands-on experience with legacy Java frameworks (e.g., Struts, Spring MVC, Hibernate) and transitioning to modern stacks (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring Data).

- Experience with refactoring large monolithic applications to microservices is a plus.

- Proven expertise in writing unit tests and integration tests using JUnit, TestNG, Mockito, etc.

- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, SOAP services, and integration patterns.

- Experience with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).

- Knowledge of messaging systems (e.g., JMS, Kafka) is a plus.

- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) is advantageous.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
