About the Role

As a Backend / Cloud Architect Lead, you will direct end-to-end technical strategy while remaining actively hands-on. You will design cloud-native microservices, govern enterprise APIs, and optimize platform performance. Acting as the bridge between business goals and engineering, you will mentor development teams, drive architectural decisions, and enforce rigorous coding standards across enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Architect, design, and scale resilient, high-throughput microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Drive end-to-end cloud strategy and implementation across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Design multi-tenant SaaS application frameworks with a focus on high availability, performance, and scalability.
- Govern API design, asynchronous processing, message queues (Kafka), and real-time streaming platforms.
- Lead data integration strategies across RDBMS, NoSQL, and ETL pipelines.
- Implement robust security protocols, including secure coding,



authentication, authorization, encryption, and secrets management.
- Oversee containerized and serverless deployments using Kubernetes, Fargate, Lambda, and Step Functions.
- Collaborate with DevOps to streamline CI/CD pipelines, automated testing (TDD), and observability (logging, auditing, and monitoring).
- Guide, mentor, and elevate engineering teams on design patterns, code quality, and cloud best practices.

Technical Qualifications

- Core Expertise: 14+ years of progressive backend software development experience, with 2–4 years in a Technical Architect or Lead capacity.
- Backend Development: Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
- Cloud & Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, along with serverless/container technologies (Kubernetes, Fargate, Lambda, Step Functions).
- Messaging & Data: Robust knowledge of Kafka, streaming platforms, RDBMS, NoSQL databases, and ETL/Data Engineering concepts.
- Security & Multi-Tenancy: Proven track record in multi-tenant SaaS architecture, data encryption, auth frameworks, and secure coding standards.
- Performance & Operations: Expertise in load balancing, caching strategies, async processing, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and centralized logging/auditing.
