Role Description This full-time, in office Ayurveda Therapist role is based in Chennai and involves delivering professional Ayurvedic therapies and treatments in accordance with established protocols. The therapist will conduct client consultations to understand individual health needs, recommend appropriate therapies, and explain treatment plans in clear, accessible language. Daily responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, managing Ayurvedic oils and materials, maintaining hygiene standards, and documenting client progress.

The role also involves collaborating with other wellness professionals, providing aftercare guidance, and supporting client education on lifestyle practices aligned with Ayurvedic principles. The therapist is expected to uphold high standards of care, safety,



and confidentiality while contributing to a calm, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

- Formal training in Ayurveda (diploma or degree in Ayurveda, Ayurvedic Nursing, or Ayurvedic Panchakarma therapy) and strong knowledge of Ayurvedic principles, doshas, and treatment methods.
- Hands-on experience in administering Ayurvedic therapies such as Abhyanga, Shirodhara, Panchakarma procedures, steam therapies, and related treatments.
- Ability to conduct client assessments, maintain accurate treatment records, and monitor progress with attention to detail and professional ethics.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to explain treatments, build client trust, and work collaboratively with the broader wellness or clinical team.
- Commitment to hygiene, safety, and infection control standards, including proper handling of oils, equipment, and treatment spaces.
- Physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform therapies safely and consistently throughout the day.
- Basic understanding of holistic wellness, nutrition, and lifestyle recommendations aligned with Ayurvedic practice.
- Prior experience in a clinic, wellness center, spa, or hospital setting is preferred; fluency in English and local languages is an advantage.
