Role Description The AWS IoT Engineer role at Cloud9 Power Technologies is a full-time, in office position based in Hyderabad. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining IoT solutions on AWS, including device connectivity, data ingestion, and integration with backend services. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and testing IoT applications, configuring and managing AWS IoT Core and related services, optimizing system performance, and ensuring secure and reliable communication between devices and cloud platforms.

The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, implement proof-of-concept solutions, and support production deployments. The role also includes monitoring systems, troubleshooting issues, documenting architectures,



and contributing to continuous improvement of IoT solutions and development processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop IoT solutions using AWS cloud services.
- Build secure and scalable applications using AWS Lambda and API Gateway.
- Develop REST APIs and data processing solutions.
- Implement data ingestion and storage using AWS services.
- Work with streaming technologies for real-time data processing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-native solutions.

Required Skills – Mandatory Skills

- AWS IoT Core, MQTT, IoT Policies, Thing Registry, Fleet Provisioning/JITP
- Python and SQL
- AWS Lambda and API Gateway
- Amazon S3, DynamoDB, Amazon Timestream
- REST API Design and Development
- Strong understanding of AWS cloud services

Good to Have

- Amazon MSK/MSK Serverless, Apache Kafka (Topics & Partitioning)
- AWS Glue, Athena, Redshift, Apache Iceberg, Parquet
- IAM, CloudWatch, AWS IoT Device Defender
- Experience with serverless and event-driven architectures

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8 – 12 years of software development experience with at least 4 years of hands-on AWS experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
