Role Description The Automation Engineer will work in a full-time hybrid role based in Borivali, with a mix of on-site and work-from-home responsibilities. Day-to-day tasks include designing, programming, and validating automation systems using PLC and SCADA/HMI platforms, as well as supporting process control strategies for pharmaceutical and industrial applications.

The role involves diagnosing and resolving automation and electrical issues, participating in SAT/OQ activities, and contributing to GMP-compliant documentation and testing.

The Automation

Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system upgrades,



optimize plant performance, and support digitalization initiatives such as Digital Twin and data-driven services. The position also requires explicit communication with clients and internal stakeholders, adherence to quality and safety standards, and ongoing learning of Siemens technologies and industry best practices.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Automation and Process Control for industrial and pharmaceutical environments.
- Candidates should possess solid Electrical Engineering and Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving system issues.
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Robotics and related automation technologies where applicable.
- Relevant experience with PLC programming (preferably Siemens), SCADA/HMI development, and commissioning of automation systems.
- Understanding of GMP, 21 CFR Part 11, and EU Annex 11 requirements, and familiarity with validation and qualification activities (IQ/OQ/PQ).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and adherence to standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline; prior experience in industrial or pharmaceutical automation is an advantage.
