Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical AutoCAD Designer with experience in the Water Treatment, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Refinery industries. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in detailed engineering design, AutoCAD, 2D/3D modeling, electrical layouts, cable routing, and preparation of electrical engineering deliverables.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Engineering

- Develop detailed electrical designs and engineering drawings in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD models using AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
- Prepare and review electrical drawings, layouts, and design documents for project execution.
- Present preliminary design concepts and drawings for client and internal approvals.

Electrical System Design
- Prepare Cable Tray Layouts, Cable Tray Support Drawings, Earthing & Lightning Protection Layouts, and Illumination Layouts.
- Develop Single Line Diagrams (SLD), electrical schematics, and associated engineering documents.
- Prepare equipment and material datasheets for various electrical systems.
- Design cable routing, earthing grid routing, and lighting layouts based on project requirements and Dialux reports.

Quantity Estimation & Documentation
- Independently calculate and prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) for structural steel and electrical installations.
- Prepare material take-offs and engineering documentation required for procurement and project execution.
- Ensure all drawings and documentation are accurate, complete, and compliant with project standards.





Layout Planning & Coordination
- Assist in planning and developing substation layouts, including:
- Switchgear Rooms
- Control Rooms
- Battery Rooms
- VFD Rooms
- UPS Rooms
- Coordinate closely with Engineers, Lead Engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Model Review & Client Interaction
- Review and verify 3D models within project deadlines and quality requirements.
- Participate in client review meetings and incorporate feedback into designs.
- Ensure all design deliverables are completed within the stipulated timelines.

Independent Project Execution
- Work independently with minimal supervision from Engineers and Lead Engineers.
- Maintain high-quality design standards while managing multiple tasks and project priorities effectively.
- Identify and resolve design-related issues proactively.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in Water Treatment, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Refinery Projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) and other electrical design software.
- Knowledge of cable tray systems, earthing systems, lightning protection systems, illumination design, and electrical layouts.
- Familiarity with Single Line Diagrams (SLD), cable schedules, datasheets, and electrical engineering deliverables.
- Experience in 3D model review and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
