Job Overview

We are looking for an Audit Executive to join the Internal Audit team of a Mumbai-based Chartered Accountant firm. The role involves conducting internal audits, evaluating internal controls and procedures, preparing audit reports, supporting risk-based audit planning, and ensuring timely implementation of audit recommendations.

The position also involves handling GST return filing and TDS-related work, along with supporting the audit team in delivering quality assignments across wide-ranging industry segments.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct internal audits at client locations using established benchmark models, including vouching and verification.
- Assess the adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of internal controls and procedures.
- Discuss audit findings and recommendations with Team Leaders.
- Escalate significant audit issues to senior management.
- Prepare audit reports in accordance with the firm's guidelines and approved audit plans.
- Assist Team Leaders in developing Annual and Quarterly Risk-Based Audit Plans.
- Adhere to audit schedules to ensure timely and quality deliverables.
- Monitor the timely implementation of management actions recommended in audit reports.
- Handle monthly filing of GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B returns.
- Prepare working papers for TDS payable.




- Maintain proper audit documentation and working papers as required.

Educational Qualification
- B.Com / M.Com
- Candidates pursuing or holding ACCA, CMA, or CA qualifications will be considered.

Experience
- 6 months to 2 years of relevant experience in Internal Audit, Audit & Assurance, Taxation, or related areas.

Technical Skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Proficiency in MS Word
- Good understanding of internal audit procedures, vouching, and verification.
- Basic knowledge of GST compliance and return filing
- Knowledge of TDS workings.
