Role: Quality Assurance Associate
Location: Bangalore Warehouse
Overview:
As a Quality Assurance Associate at The Indus Valley, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and integrity in our health-focused cookware products. This role is based at the Bangalore Warehouse and will support incoming inspection, product quality verification, documentation, stock segregation and coordination of quality-related activities. You will be a key contributor to our mission of infusing every kitchen with goodness and transforming cooking into a health oriented experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warehouse Quality Support: Support incoming inspection, product quality verification, documentation, stock segregation, and coordination of quality-related activities at the Bangalore Warehouse.
- Quality Assurance: Execute comprehensive quality checks on incoming materials and finished cookware products to ensure compliance with established quality standards and specifications.
- Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for enhancing product quality, streamlining quality processes, and reducing defects or discrepancies.
- Testing Protocols: Develop and implement testing protocols, including heat resistance, durability, and safety evaluations, to ascertain the reliability and health-centric nature of our cookware.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain meticulous records of quality assessments, testing results, stock segregation,
and corrective actions taken. Generate detailed reports highlighting quality metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Supplier Collaboration: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality and integrity of raw materials and products, conducting audits and implementing quality control measures in the supply chain.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company-defined quality protocols in all relevant warehouse and product quality activities.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including warehouse operations, production, design, and R&D; to align on quality standards, product specifications, segregation decisions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to relevant teams on quality control procedures, best practices, documentation, stock segregation, and the significance of maintaining high-quality standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience minimum 1 year in quality control, preferably in the cookware or related manufacturing industry.
- In-depth knowledge of quality assurance principles, testing methodologies, and quality processes specific to cookware.
- Solid analytical skills with the ability to identify defects, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining accurate documentation and records.
- Problem-solving abilities to address quality issues and implement effective solutions.
