About the Role

We are looking for an Associate Director – Planning to lead strategic and operational planning across the organization. This role will be responsible for translating business goals into actionable plans, driving capacity and demand planning, and enabling leadership teams to make data-driven decisions. The individual will work closely with business, operations, supply, finance, and leadership teams to build scalable planning processes and ensure robust execution against business priorities.

Responsibilities

Business & Strategic Planning

- Partner with leadership to translate business objectives into actionable operating plans.
- Drive annual, quarterly, and monthly planning across key business and operational metrics.
- Identify growth opportunities, risks, and key business levers through data and market insights.

Demand & Capacity Planning

- Build forecasting models for demand, supply, capacity, and workforce requirements.
- Ensure business plans are translated into actionable capacity and resource plans.
- Track demand-supply gaps and recommend interventions to improve fulfilment and efficiency.

Performance Management & Insights

- Define and monitor key business and operational metrics.
- Build planning dashboards and review mechanisms for leadership.
- Analyse performance trends, identify gaps, and drive corrective actions.





Cross-functional Execution

- Work closely with Operations, Supply, Finance, Growth, and Strategy teams.
- Drive alignment between central planning and on-ground execution.
- Lead key business reviews and ensure actions are tracked through to closure.

Building Scalable Planning Systems

- Establish structured planning processes, forecasting frameworks, and operating cadences.
- Improve the accuracy and effectiveness of planning through data and automation.
- Build and mentor a high-performing planning team over time.

Qualifications

- 8–12 years of experience in business planning, strategic planning, operations, consulting, or business finance.

Required Skills

- Strong experience in building business plans, forecasts, and performance management frameworks.
- Experience working in high-growth, complex, or operationally intensive businesses.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to convert data into business decisions.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills; experience with SQL, BI tools, or analytics is preferred.
- Ability to work across multiple stakeholders and drive execution in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

- Has worked in a high-growth consumer, marketplace, logistics, FMCG, or operations-heavy business.
- Can move seamlessly between strategic thinking and detailed execution.
- Strong with numbers, forecasting, and business problem-solving.
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and building processes from scratch.
- High ownership, strong stakeholder management, and a bias for action.
