Key Responsibilities

- Vulnerability Discovery Scanning: Learn and operate enterprise vulnerability scanning platforms [e.g., Tenable, Qualys, etc] to identify security gaps across endpoints, servers, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
- Risk Triage Prioritization: Analyze vulnerability scan findings using Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) framework and real-time threat intelligence to differentiate between minor bugs and critical risks.
- Remediation Coordination: Collaborate directly with system administrators, network engineers, and application owners to track patch progress and enforce SLA compliance.
- Asset Discovery Coverage: Assist in maintaining 100% asset visibility by identifying unmanaged devices, shadow IT, and legacy infrastructure within the network.
- Metrics Reporting: Help generate key performance dashboards and operational reports for security leadership highlighting risk trends, mean-time-to-remediate (MTTR), and overall security posture.
- Process Improvement: Participate in refining scanning schedules, automation scripts [e.g., Python, PowerShell], and workflow tickets to streamline security operations.

Key Skills
- Education / Experience: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology,



or equivalent degree.
- Networking OS Fundamentals: Solid grasp of core networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, Firewalls) and operating systems (Windows, Linux/Unix).
- Cybersecurity Basics: Familiarity with common vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10), basic encryption principles, and exposure to the CVE/CVSS rating systems.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: Eagerness to investigate technical issues, analyze data outputs, and propose practical solutions.
- Communication Skills: Ability to translate technical security findings into transparent, actionable advice for non-security team members.
