Designation : Pod Owner (senior, team-lead-level role)

We define this role by what you will achieve, not by degrees or years. If you have done comparable work, we want to meet you — however you learned it.

The Mission:

This is a POD role : you own your clients end to end. Not a step in an assembly line — the whole engagement is yours: the close, the review, the client conversation — as the client's primary point of contact — and yes, the data entry when your pod needs it. Nothing is beneath the owner of the client. Accurate, US GAAP-compliant, on time, every time — with a story the client actually understands.

What You Will Achieve — Key Performance Objectives:

- Own your pod's clients — end to end . Take full ownership of 6–8 US clients: close, review, delivery, communication — and hands-on data entry whenever the pod needs it. Every close client ready by business day 10.
- Set the quality bar. Review and approve journal entries, bank reconciliations, and financial statements with a rework rate below 2% — measured, not assumed.
- Tell the story behind the numbers . Every monthly pack goes out with a plain-English narrative — what changed, why, and what to do about it — and you lead that client conversation. Within three months, your clients ask for you by name.
- Become the domain expert. Learn each client's industry deeply — its chart of accounts, KPIs, margins, and close rhythm (a dental practice ≠ SaaS ≠ construction). Be the pod's go-to authority on your clients' niches.
- Build your pod . Train and mentor 3–5 junior accountants so at least two can independently run a client close to your standard by month three.
- Make the close faster — with the platform.



Push routine work to Praxa workflows and Celia, our AI assistant, so you handle exceptions and judgment; cut average close cycle time by 20% without losing accuracy.
- Zero missed compliance . Run the sales-tax and payroll-tax filing calendar with zero missed deadlines; give auditors and tax professionals clean, complete workpapers.
- Be the client's calm . Resolve client queries within one business day and keep month-end status visible — no surprises, no chasing.

What We Look For

- Education: CA / CPA / ACCA / CMA (qualified or CA Inter) — minimum requirement.
- Experience : typically, 4–8 years of US accounting, with strong US GAAP fundamentals.
- Tools : hands-on QuickBooks Online and/or Xero.
- Communication : excellent written and spoken English — you will lead US client conversations every week.
- Track record : a stable career history with progressive growth — success here looks like the eight objectives on page 1.
