Assistant Professor – Data Science (B.Sc./M.Sc./MCA) /n Location: Patiala, Punjab /n Employment Type: Full-Time /n About the Role /n PW Digital University (PWDU) is seeking passionate and qualified Assistant Professors – Data Science to develop and deliver high-quality academic content for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning within a technology-enabled, UGC-compliant Open & Distance Learning (ODL) and Online Education framework. /n Key Responsibilities /n Develop and update curriculum, Self-Learning Materials (SLMs), e-content, video lectures, practical resources, assessments, and learning resources for Data Science, AI, and ML subjects. /n Deliver courses through the Learning Management System (LMS) and conduct engaging live online classes. /n Design and evaluate assignments, quizzes, projects, practical, continuous assessments, and examinations. /n Mentor students, resolve academic queries, and facilitate discussion forums. /n Develop hands-on learning content, case studies, datasets, coding exercises, and industry-relevant projects. /n Collaborate with Course Mentors, SMEs, and faculty members for effective course delivery. /n * Ensure academic quality, originality, and compliance with UGC ODL Regulations, NEP 2020, and Outcome-Based Education (OBE). /n Monitor learner progress and contribute to continuous curriculum and course improvement. /n Integrate emerging technologies, AI tools, and industry practices into academic delivery. /n Eligibility Criteria /n *Bachelor's degree in B.Sc.



(Data Science / Computer Science / Statistics / Mathematics / Information Technology or related discipline) from a recognised university. /n Master's degree in M.Sc. Data Science / M.Sc.

Computer

Science / MCA / M.Tech / M.Sc. Statistics /Mathematics or a related discipline is preferred. /n NET qualified candidates will be preferred. /n Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, IT, or a related discipline will be an added advantage. /n Prior teaching, curriculum development, research, or online education experience is preferred. /n Experience with LMS and digital teaching platforms is desirable. /n Required Skills /n Strong knowledge of Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning. /n Proficiency in Python, SQL, Statistics, Data Analytics, Data Visualization, and Machine Learning algorithms. /n Knowledge of Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Generative AI, Predictive Analytics, and Big Data will be an advantage. /n Strong understanding of Data Structures & Algorithms, Database Management Systems, Probability & Statistics, and Programming. /n Familiarity with tools and libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch, Power BI/Tableau, or similar platforms. /n Excellent academic writing, content development, presentation, and communication skills. /n Familiarity with UGC ODL Regulations, NEP 2020, and Outcome-Based Education (OBE). /n * Solid analytical, mentoring, research, and organisational abilities. /n Interested Candidates can mail us at [email protected].
