Job Title: Assistant Manager Electrical

Key Responsibilities

1. Plan and supervise preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of all electrical equipment.
2. Ensure reliable operation of HT/LT panels, transformers, MCCs, PCCs, motors, pumps, compressors, conveyors, elevators, fans, blowers, DG sets, UPS and battery systems.
3. Monitor electrical systems in the solvent extraction plant, oil mill, utilities and associated production areas.
4. Troubleshoot electrical faults and minimize plant downtime through effective RCA and corrective actions.
5. Ensure periodic inspection and maintenance of motors, cables, switchgear, relays, starters, VFDs and control panels.
6. Ensure all electrical equipment in hazardous/solvent areas is appropriately flameproof/explosion-protected as applicable.
7. Maintain proper earthing, bonding, lightning protection and electrical safety systems.
8. Plan and execute shutdown and annual maintenance activities.
9. Coordinate with Production, Mechanical, Instrumentation and Safety teams for maintenance activities.
10. Ensure compliance with LOTO, Permit-to-Work, electrical isolation and safe work practices.
11. Supervise electricians, technicians and contract manpower and allocate daily maintenance activities.
12. Maintain maintenance records, equipment history, checklists, breakdown reports and MIS.
13. Ensure availability of critical electrical spares and coordinate with Purchase/Stores for timely procurement.
14. Coordinate with TANGEDCO, OEMs, contractors and service agencies whenever required.

Monitor electrical energy consumption and identify opportunities for energy conservation and cost reduction.
16. Participate in current project erection, installation, commissioning and modification of electrical systems.
17. Conduct periodic safety inspections and ensure closure of electrical audit observations.
18. Train electrical maintenance personnel on electrical safety, emergency response and safe maintenance practices.
19. Support statutory inspections, audits and compliance requirements.
20. Ensure electrical maintenance activities do not compromise the safety of the solvent extraction process.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification

1. B.E./B.Tech. Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering
2. Diploma in Electrical Engineering may be considered based on relevant industry experience.

Experience

1. 5 - 10 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance.
2. Experience in Solvent Extraction / Edible Oil / Rice Bran Oil / Chemical / Process Manufacturing / Refinery plants will be preferred.
3. Experience in hazardous-area electrical systems and plant maintenance will be an added advantage.
